Custom Order: Painted Furniture, Desk

College is always a good excuse for a new desk, or furniture for that matter! Everyone wants the perfect dorm room or apartment! With school approaching, I was contacted by a young lady who is beginning her freshman year at Texas Christian University, home of the Horned Frogs. They love their PURPLE, and so it is only fitting that this desk was painted in CeCeCaldwell‘s New Orleans Purple!

I hope everyone has a wonderful start to their school year, whether you are attending or your children are starting back up! Make it a great year!

Tuesday Tips & A Giveaway!

I will be starting a weekly blog post to help answer all your questions about products, finishes, brushes & helpful hints you may have. To submit a question, email me at

I have had some customers ask me what I prefer using on my own products. Without any delay, here are a few of my favorite things:

(You started singing Sound of Music, didn’t you? Well if not then, now you will)

If you would like to purchase any of My Favorite Things, you can purchase them here.
1. Round Natural Bristle Brush

Hand made in Spain, this round natural bristle brush is lightweight & easy to paint or wax with. This brush is not only fabulous for painting and getting into tight corners and embellished areas, but helps the wax glide on smooth and easy.

2. Short Handle, Natural Bristle Brush

This brush is the perfect size to paint with! It fits perfectly in your hand, and brush strokes are minimum to none with this little jewel.

3. Drill Buffing Brush

Now for you serious buffers, this drilling brush is the bomb! All you do is attach it to your drill & buff away!

3. Thin Long Handle BRush

This brush is one I use for multiple tasks. I like to apply dark wax with it because I feel like I have more control and it keeps me from getting too much aging wax. It also works well when applying aging dust & sometimes I like to paint with it! A great must-have tool!
