College is always a good excuse for a new desk, or furniture for that matter! Everyone wants the perfect dorm room or apartment! With school approaching, I was contacted by a young lady who is beginning her freshman year at Texas Christian University, home of the Horned Frogs. They love their PURPLE, and so it is only fitting that this desk was painted in CeCeCaldwell‘s New Orleans Purple!
I hope everyone has a wonderful start to their school year, whether you are attending or your children are starting back up! Make it a great year!
“Jo Ann” is this lovely desk that I painted in CeCe Caldwell’s Paints! I painted the desk frame in Young Kansas Wheat and the drawers in Vintage White! Waxed with the fabulousCeCe Caldwell’s wax and buffed. Such a lovely piece that would look fantastic in any room! I named this piece “Jo Ann” after my CeCe Caldwell’s Paints distributor Jo Ann Bohannon. I have enjoyed getting to know Jo Ann. She is a fun, creative and loving person! She has walked me through this paint business step by step! Such a joy to work with. “Jo Ann” is in my suite at Frisco Mercantile!
“Taylor” is named after my nephew Taylor! He is a honor student, great athlete, but most of all and outstanding young man! Not sure why, but for some reason this desk reminds me of Taylor’s fine qualities. This desk would look great in any office, bedroom, or den! Check this desk out in my suite at Frisco Mercantile. If you haven’t already go to Doozie’s Corner on Facebook and like it!
Several weeks ago a nice lady stopped by my booth in Frisco Mercantile and ask me if I had any desk for sale. After showing her a few pictures of things I had back at home we exchanged information and I was honored to paint and sell her a couple of desk for her children Alice & Dylan. Pictured are the desk I delivered to her last weekend! I hope the kids are enjoying the desk and have a successful school year!
Tuesday was my wonderful Daddy’s birthday! Oh how I miss him! He was the sweetest Daddy ever and the best “PaPaw” in the world to his grandchildren! So on Tuesday I painted all day, thinking of him and how he taught me so much. I think he would be proud of my little business and how I taught myself to paint all this furniture!!! So I named this little desk/vanity after him. I think he would love it. This would look so great in an entry, bathroom, bedroom, or even use it for a changing table in a babies room! In my suite at Classic Collections, 833 Butternut, Abilene.
